Volunteers wanted for Big Brothers Big Sisters KC tennis event
USTA Heart of America and Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City have partnered to host a special tennis experience on Saturday, May 31 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Plaza Tennis Center.
The two-hour event designed just for “bigs” and “littles” will provide a safe and welcoming space for mentorship while introducing children to the many benefits of tennis. The fun-filled afternoon promises to provide participants with lasting memories through connection and play.
Join in on the festivities by volunteering for the May 31 event. Individuals interested in volunteering or becoming a “big” can do so by completing this form. Volunteers must be USTA Safe Play-approved and need to complete the USTA SafeSport for Volunteers online course.
Individuals with questions or seeking additional information can reach out to USTA Heart of America Executive Director Rebecca Falkner Axelrod at ustaheartofamerica@gmail.com.
May is National Tennis Month, and there are ample opportunities within USTA Heart of America to get involved in the month-long celebration. Click here for National Tennis Month events happening within the district.
