Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Emma Navarro, Hailey Baptiste and Taylor Townsend to represent the USA in 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Finals

July 21, 2025

The USTA and Billie Jean King Cup captain Lindsay Davenport today announced that Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Emma Navarro, Hailey Baptiste and Taylor Townsend will represent the USA in the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals, to be played September 16-21 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre Arena in Shenzhen, China.

Billie Jean King Cup is the World Cup of Women’s Tennis, and the Finals—an eight-nation, knockout-style bracket—will crown this year’s champion. The U.S. will play Kazakhstan in its quarterfinal tie on Thursday, September 18, with the winner advancing to play the winner of Great Britain and Japan in the semifinals. Each tie will be a best-of-three competition with two singles matches and one doubles match, played on an indoor hard court. The full field, schedule and further information is available at billiejeankingcup.com.

The United States is the all-time leader with 18 Billie Jean King Cup titles and will hope to add to that this year by bringing a veteran team with three players ranked in the Top 11 in singles, the world doubles No. 2 and one of its stars from this year’s Qualifying.

Pegula, 31, is currently ranked No. 4 in singles and has a 35-15 record in 2025, with three singles titles. She’s 5-1 all-time in Billie Jean King Cup singles, and last helped the U.S. qualify for the 2024 Finals by winning two singles matches vs. Belgium.

Keys, 30, is ranked No. 8 in singles and has a 32-10 record this year, with two titles, including the Australian Open. She’s competed in eight Billie Jean King Cup ties since debuting in 2014, with a 4-5 singles record and a 2-1 doubles record.

Navarro, 24, is ranked No. 11 in singles and has a 24-17 record this year, with one title. She made her Billie Jean King Cup debut last year in the Qualifying tie vs. Belgium and won the only singles match she played.

Baptiste, 23, is ranked No. 50 in singles with a 24-16 singles record in 2025, including a career-best Grand Slam result at the French Open (R16). She made her Billie Jean King Cup debut in this year’s Qualifying in April and won both of her singles matches vs. Denmark and hosts Slovakia to help lead the U.S. to Finals qualification by winning Group C.

Townsend, 29, is ranked No. 2 in doubles and has a 22-5 doubles record this year, with two titles, including her second major at the Australian Open. She’s 4-2 in doubles and 1-0 in singles in Billie Jean King Cup competition and has competed for the U.S. in each of the last three Finals.
